Job Description
United Protection & Security Service is seeking highly trained, dependable, and professional Armed & Unarmed Security Officers to support safe and secure environments across multiple client locations. We are looking for mature officers who demonstrate sound judgment, strict adherence to protocol, and a commitment to exceptional service.

This position requires excellent communication skills, strong situational awareness, and the ability to interact respectfully with the public, staff, and visitors while maintaining a calm, authoritative presence.

What You’ll Do

General Security Duties (Not Site‐Specific)
• Patrol and secure buildings, grounds, and parking areas
• Monitor activity to ensure the safety of property, equipment, staff, and visitors
• Enforce site‐specific safety policies and procedures consistently
• Manage access control, visitor check‐ins, and building entry procedures
• Respond promptly to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies
• Complete accurate, detailed incident reports and daily activity logs
• Maintain high visibility to deter unauthorized or suspicious activity
• Communicate clearly with supervisors, clients, and the public
• Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude at all times
• Follow all UPSS protocols, post orders, and chain‐of‐command expectations
• Carry and handle a firearm safely, responsibly, and in full compliance with Pennsylvania law and UPSS policy

Position Requirements
• Must be 21 years of age or older to apply
• Must be able to travel — Officers will work at multiple job sites
• Must be able to work various shifts, including overnight, weekends, and holidays
• Must have a reliable vehicle and a valid Driver’s License
• Minimum 2 years of verifiable experience in security, law enforcement, or related fields
• For Armed Officers: Valid Pennsylvania Act 235 Certification is required at the time of hiring and must be current and up to date (if applicable)
• Demonstrated maturity and ability to follow direction and protocol
• Strong communication and customer‐service skills
• High attention to detail and situational awareness
• Dependable, punctual, and professional work ethic
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to meet physical job requirements (standing, walking, patrolling)
