About the position

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Perimeter Patrol in Sunnyvale, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter incidents, support access control and badge checks, and assist with loss prevention awareness. You will also provide customer service, clear communication, and incident documentation while responding to concerns with professionalism. Responsibilities
β€’ Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or when appropriate, emergency response activities.
β€’ Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, common areas, receiving areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
β€’ Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas; observe customer and employee activity and report suspicious behavior according to post orders.
β€’ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including addressing disturbances, assisting with lost children and/or property, and coordinating with on-site management and local authorities as needed.
β€’ Complete required reports and logs, document incidents, and communicate pertinent information to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership.

Requirements
β€’ Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
β€’ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
β€’ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
β€’ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
β€’ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
β€’ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
β€’ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
β€’ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
