Job Description

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Garage Rounds in STATEN ISLAND, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and respond to concerns with professionalism and strong customer service. What You'll Do
• Provide customer service to staff and visitors at a government location by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor for and respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting details and notifying site contacts and/or public emergency services as directed.
• Control access points by observing entries and exits, verifying authorization when required, and assisting with orderly visitor flow while maintaining a professional presence.
• Complete required reports such as daily activity logs and incident reports, communicate observations during shift changes, and support security-related operations per post orders.

Minimum Requirements
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be 21 years of age or older.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
