β€’ Location: Lurie Children's Hospital - 225 East Chicago Avenue, Chicago, IL 60611. Note: online applications accepted only.

β€’ Fixed Pay Rate: $16.60 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Performs light cleaning duties to maintain establishments, including hotels, restaurants and hospitals, in a clean and orderly manner. Duties include making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms and halls, and vacuuming.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
β€’ Provides quality customer service to customers by providing one-on-one attention to detail.
β€’ Sweeps, scrubs, mops and polishes floors.
β€’ Vacuums carpets, rugs and draperies.
β€’ Shampoos carpets, rugs and upholstery.
β€’ Dusts and polishes furniture and fittings.
β€’ Cleans metal fixtures and fittings.
β€’ Empties and cleans trash containers.
β€’ Disposes of trash in a sanitary manner.
β€’ Cleans wash basins, mirrors, tubs and showers.
β€’ Wipes down glass surfaces.
β€’ Makes up beds and changes linens as required.
β€’ Realigns furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout.
β€’ Responds to guest queries and requests.
β€’ Responds to calls for housekeeping problems, such as spills and broken glasses.
β€’ Contributes to team efforts; exhibits professionalism with customers, fellow associates and others.
β€’ Performs other duties as assigned.
