Job Overview

Houston Harris County Patrol is seeking a professional and dependable Armed Security Officer for a steady night shift position in Pasadena.

This is a full-time role with only 33.5 hours per week, offering consistent hours while maintaining a manageable schedule.

Duties include patrolling the property (on foot and by vehicle), checking and securing doors using a key fob system, and completing detailed Daily Activity Reports (DARs) to maintain site safety and security.
Key Responsibilities
β€’ Perform routine patrols of the property (walking and driving)
β€’ Check, secure, and document doors and access points using key fob system
β€’ Monitor for unauthorized activity, hazards, or suspicious behavior
β€’ Maintain a visible presence to deter criminal activity
β€’ Complete accurate and detailed Daily Activity Reports (DARs)
β€’ Respond to incidents and notify management or emergency services when needed
β€’ Follow all site-specific post orders and security procedures
Requirements
β€’ Valid Texas Level III Armed Security License
β€’ Must be 21 years of age or older
β€’ Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
β€’ Reliable transportation
β€’ Ability to walk and patrol for extended periods
β€’ Strong observation and report writing skills
β€’ Must be dependable, punctual, and professional
β€’ Ability to work independently during overnight hours
Uniform Requirement
β€’ Must report to duty in navy blue pants
β€’ Must wear a navy blue security shirt
β€’ Must display a security badge and name tag at all times while on duty
β€’ Uniform must be clean, professional, and presentable
Preferred Qualifications
β€’ Prior armed security or law enforcement experience
