Temple University's Main-Housekeeping Department is searching for Overnight Housekeeping Team Members!

Hourly Rate: $20.91

Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday 11:00pm - 7:30am

Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of Operations & Facilities Management, the Service Staff IV is primarily responsible for general housekeeping duties within a given area. Service Staff IV employees are assigned to floor maintenance, stripping, refinishing, waxing, and buffing operations using a power machine and other related equipment. Service Staff IV employees are also responsible for general cleaning duties in classrooms, kitchens, offices, corridors, stairways, and other University areas. Service Staff IV employees also maintain the cleanliness of washroom fixtures and surfaces, cleaning study corrals, glassware, classrooms, labs, lecture halls, lounges, recreational areas, fitness centers, pool area game rooms, T.V. lounges, and other University areas. Service Staff IV employees are also required to clean floors, using wet and dry mops and floor machines when needed, in addition to cleaning walls, stairways, furniture, and equipment. Service Staff IV employees provide on-call service to the University as required.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience
β€’ At least one (1) year of housekeeping experience in a business environment.
β€’ An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills and Abilities
β€’ Must have adequate reading and writing skills.
β€’ Demonstrated ability to perform general housekeeping duties such as cleaning, mopping, and emptying trash cans.
β€’ Must be able to stand for long durations of time.
β€’ Must be able to walk and bend frequently.
β€’ Must be willing to work in a very damp location.
β€’ Provides on-call service to the University as needed for critical and emergency events.
