Job Description
β€’ Performs manual and clerical duties related to the preparation and shipment of customer samples, components and finished products mailed primarily through Fed Ex, UPS, USPS or other similar carrier.
β€’ Maintain necessary files and documentation.
β€’ Utilizes small hand tools and operate scales, metering machines, etc. and primarily use hand trucks to move materials around.
β€’ Typical shipping activities include: checking goods against shipping documents and authorizations, packing goods for shipment according to specifications, preparing bills of lading, posting weight and shipping charges and attach information and shipping instructions on to boxes.
β€’ May occasionally perform activities related to the receiving materials such as unpacking of goods; checking against bills of lading, packing slips, etc., identification and quantity; maintaining records of goods received; rejects damaged, excess or misdirected goods, routes material to inspection, stores or other destinations.
β€’ May require operation of a forklift truck.

Qualifications
β€’ Able to bend, lift, twist and climb.
β€’ Ability to stand 8 hours a day.
β€’ Ability to understand and communicate written instructions.
β€’ Ability to understand and communicate verbal instructions.
β€’ Skill in reading specifications and identifying the correct parts for fulfilling customer orders.
β€’ Knowledge of routine picking procedures, techniques, equipment and basic warehouse procedures.
β€’ Requires basic arithmetic and skill to measure, count and weigh products and materials.
β€’ Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds occasionally.

Additional Information

The pay range for this role at the noted location is $15.50 - $20.00 / hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include, overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
