Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations at our busy restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food service management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, managing food and beverage operations, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, and supporting the overall success of the restaurant. Prior experience in quick service, casual dining, or fine dining environments is highly valued. The Assistant Manager will play a key role in maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and hospitality.

Responsibilities
• Assist in managing daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth and efficient service
• Supervise and train staff on food preparation, customer service, POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS), and food safety protocols
• Oversee inventory control, food handling, and food production processes to minimize waste and control costs
• Manage shift schedules, coordinate staffing needs, and ensure adequate coverage during peak hours
• Handle cash management duties including cash handling and reconciliation
• Support hiring, interviewing, onboarding, and ongoing staff training & development
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation
• Monitor customer feedback and address concerns promptly to enhance guest satisfaction
• Assist with budgeting, cost control measures, and overall restaurant management strategies
• Collaborate with kitchen management on food quality, menu execution, and culinary standards
• Lead by example in fostering a positive team environment focused on hospitality excellence

Requirements
• Proven experience in restaurant management or assistant management roles within the food industry
• Strong background in food preparation, kitchen management, and food safety standards
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; cash handling experience required
• Excellent leadership skills with experience supervising teams in fast-paced environments
• Knowledge of inventory control, food safety regulations, and hospitality management practices
• Experience working in quick service & fast food restaurants as well as casual or fine dining settings is preferred
• Ability to manage shift schedules effectively and handle multiple priorities simultaneously
• Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
• Strong communication skills for staff training, team management, and customer interactions
• Previous experience with budgeting, training & development programs preferred
• Hospitality or culinary background including hotel or catering experience is advantageous
