This is for travel outage work-- 12 hour shifts 7/12's...We are seeking skilled Boiler Tube Welders, specifically versed in production style welding on industrial boiler tubes. The ideal candidate will possess their code qualification and have experience working inside an industrial boiler and performing quality welds while adhering to industry codes & standards. This role is a member of the HBBW Field Service division, meaning that this is a travel based position, Northeast-Mid-Atlantic servicing emergency outages and scheduled shutdowns. Company pays for the hotel while working & offers per diem daily, as well as travel reimbursement based out of Lawrence, MA.

Responsibilities

Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
• Working during forced outages/emergencies (day or night shift)
• Knowledge and capability of using grinders as well as end prep tools to perform the proper procedures for tube reinstallation,
• Familiar with a range of filler metals and welding processes to perform welds on boiler tubes and components,
• Making, installing, and repairing boilers,
• Welding and bolting pieces together,
• Testing boilers & performing routine maintenance,
• Fabricating and assembling metal structures,
• Reading and interpreting diagrams, sketches, blueprints,
• Performing jobs safely while adhering to all safety guidelines,
• Responsibility for quality and safety while in the workplace.

Skills
• Pass a 6g Position Tube Test
• Experience with TIG, MIG, or stick welding
• Experience welding boiler tubes inside an industrial boiler
