Job Description
Job Title: Structural Welder (Pulse Arc)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Structural Welder with expertise in pulse arc welding. The ideal candidate will have at least four years of experience in naval shipyard environments, utilizing various welding techniques including MIG, flux-core, and pulse arc welding.

Responsibilities
β€’ Perform multi-pass, all position fillet and butt welds using SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GMAW-P processes.
β€’ Work in physically demanding environments such as shipboard and sub-assemblies, climbing ladders and staging.
β€’ Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations in the shipbuilding industry.
β€’ Conduct Air Carbon Arc Gouging and ensure proficiency in using fillet and butt weld gauges.
β€’ Pass all position, multi-pass butt weld qualification tests according to MIL-STD-248D standards.

Essential Skills
β€’ Proficiency in SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GMAW-P welding processes.
β€’ Experience in physically demanding environments.
β€’ Familiarity with OSHA regulations.
β€’ Capability to perform Air Carbon Arc Gouging.
β€’ Ability to accurately use welding gauges.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
β€’ Experience in confined spaces on naval ships and shop environments.
β€’ Ability to climb ladders and stairs.
β€’ Welding qualification tests in various positions as per industry standards.

Work Environment

The work environment is physically demanding, requiring candidates to operate in confined spaces on naval ships and in shop settings. The role involves climbing up and down ladders and stairs, demanding a high level of physical fitness and adaptability.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $45.00/hr.
