Job Description
Job Summary

Set up, operate, or tend glue station, soldering, or brazing machines for metal products, components, or assemblies.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
β€’ Turn and press knobs and buttons or enter operating instructions into welding machines. 25%
β€’ Set up, operate, or tend welding machines that join or bond components to fabricate metal products or assemblies. 20%
β€’ Load or feed work pieces into welding machines to join or bond components.10%
β€’ Correct problems by adjusting controls or by stopping machines and opening holding devices.5%
β€’ Inspect, measure, or test completed metal work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using measuring and testing devices.20%
β€’ Record operational information on specified production reports.3%
β€’ Read blueprints, work orders, or production schedules to determine product or job instructions or specifications.2%
β€’ Assemble, align, and clamp work pieces into holding fixtures to bond, heat-treat, or solder fabricated metal components.10%

Education and Experience Profile
β€’ High school diploma or GED certificate and/or industrial experience.

β€’ Previous experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

β€’ Willingness to learn new skills and take instruction from other team members.
