Job Description
Job Overview:

D7 Pneumatics LLC is seeking highly skilled and experienced Millwrights and Welders to join our mechanical projects division team.

This role will involve maintaining, repairing, and installing industrial machinery across a variety of sectors, including sawmills, and steel mills. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in mechanical systems, a strong understanding of welding techniques, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:
β€’ Maintenance & Repairs: Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment, conveyor systems, crushers, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and other industrial machinery in coal mining operations, sawmills, and auto plants.
β€’ Welding & Fabrication: Perform welding (MIG, TIG, Stick) for repairs and fabrication of parts, structures, and equipment as needed. Conduct welding inspections to ensure high-quality, safe work.
β€’ Preventative Maintenance: Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and extend the lifespan of machinery and equipment.
β€’ Installation & Commissioning: Assist with the installation, alignment, and commissioning of new equipment in mining, sawmill, and automotive production lines.
β€’ Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and work in compliance with regulatory requirements, ensuring that work areas are always safe and clean.
β€’ Collaboration: Work closely with other maintenance technicians, engineers, and management to ensure efficient operations and quick resolution of mechanical issues.
β€’ Problem Solving: Apply strong troubleshooting skills to identify mechanical failures and implement effective solutions.

Required Qualifications:
β€’ Completion of a Millwright apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
β€’ Own personal tools
β€’ Previous experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in steel mills, sawmill, and/or automotive plant environments.
β€’ Strong welding experience, particularly in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding, with the ability to work with a variety of materials (steel, stainless steel, etc.).
β€’ Deep understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical systems.
β€’ Valid driver’s license, Millwright Certification, or equivalent trade qualification required.
β€’ Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including confined spaces, high elevations, and extreme temperatures. Must be capable of lifting heavy parts and materials as needed.
β€’ Strong troubleshooting abilities with attention to detail and precision.
β€’ Must adhere to all safety protocols and always demonstrate a commitment to a safe working environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
β€’ Experience working in steel mills, sawmills, or automotive manufacturing settings.

β€’ Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and electrical schematics.
β€’ Experience in the installation and commissioning of heavy machinery.
