Job Details

Marc Rose and Med Abrous are the co-owners of The Spare Room, Winsome and Genghis Cohen in Los Angeles, CA. All three properties are unique in concept; each feature personal, unexpected details that make for a one-of-a-kind hospitality experience.

Most recently the two have branched out to operate all the food and beverage outlets at the Graduate Seattle and Graduate Nashville. The growing hospitality group is currently seeking a Head Bartender at La Dolce Vita -- its latest Los Angeles-based concept-- an upscale homage to the classic Italian-American restaurant.

Primary duties of the La Dolce Vita Head Bartender will include but are not limited to:
• Lead by example behind the bar during service with professionalism and hospitality
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance work environment
• Set the tone for service standards, guest engagement, and team accountability
• Train, coach, and mentor bartenders and barbacks to build a strong, consistent team
• Assist in hiring, onboarding, and performance management of bar staff
• Maintain consistency in recipes, presentation, and service
• Collaborate with company leadership on seasonal menu updates and creative input
• Ensure proper prep, batching, and mise en place for efficient service
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar at all times
• Enforce sanitation, health, and safety standards to avoid risks (including pests and contamination)
• Manage inventory, ordering, and par levels in partnership with management
• Minimize waste and keep beverage cost in line with budget
• Ensure all equipment is functioning and coordinate repairs as needed
• Collaborate with management on scheduling, staffing needs, and performance feedback
• Participate in pre-shift meetings and ongoing training initiatives
• Provide documentation of recipes, specs, and standard operating procedures
• In collaboration with PR / Marketing for the restaurant, actively find ways to market our brand and program while also periodically representing the venues at trade events and through PR opportunities as they present themselves
• Must have Food Handler's Card and RBS Certification, or able to obtain within 2 weeks of hire.
Experience with Toast POS is a plus, but not required.
Fine-dining restaurant experience is also preferred.
