Job Description
Job Summary
Seeking skilled FCAW Structural Welders for our Channelview rig up yard. Perform flux-cored arc welding on structural steel for drilling rig components, substructures, masts, skids, and related equipment. Focus on quality welds to support safe rig assembly and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

MUST be able to pass out weld test (3g and 4g).
• Perform FCAW welding (gas-shielded/self-shielded) in all positions on structural steel for rig fabrication and repairs.
• Read blueprints, welding procedures, and rig drawings.
• Fit, align, tack, and weld structural components.
• Set up equipment, select wire/parameters, prepare joints, and inspect welds per AWS D1.1 or company standards.
• Maintain safe, clean work area and follow yard safety protocols.
• Collaborate with team to meet production schedules.

Qualifications and Requirements
• 3+ years FCAW structural welding experience, preferably in oilfield/heavy equipment.
• Ability to pass FCAW weld tests (e.g., 3G/4G).
• Knowledge of AWS D1.1 preferred.
• Blueprint reading skills.
• Physically able to lift 50+ lbs, work at heights, and stand for long periods.
• Reliable transportation to yard.
• Willing to work overtime/weekends as needed.
• Pass drug screen, background check, and weld test.

Preferred
• Oilfield rig yard or fabrication experience.

Compensation
• Hourly rate: $22–$30/hour (based on experience and qualifications).
• Overtime opportunities available.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
