Job Description
Experienced Welder – Steel & Aluminum Fabrication | Day Shift

Openwork’s Houston branch is partnering with a respected steel and aluminum manufacturer to add an Experienced Welder to their growing production team. This is a great opportunity for skilled welders who take pride in precision craftsmanship and want to contribute to high-quality fabrication in a professional manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform MIG welding on carbon steel and spool gun MIG welding on aluminum.
• Fit, layout, and align materials according to blueprints and fabrication specifications.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, fabrication blueprints, and production instructions.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure strength, accuracy, and overall quality.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area while following OSHA and company safety standards.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and quality expectations.
• Support general fabrication and production operations as needed.

Qualifications:
• Minimum 2+ years of professional welding experience required.
• MIG welding experience required; aluminum welding experience preferred.
• Experience with fabrication and fitting, including measuring, aligning, and assembling components accurately.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail, quality, and safety.
• Reliable team player with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Pay:
• $22.00 – $24.00 per hour, based on experience.

Schedule:
• Day Shift.
• Full-time schedule.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Contract-to-hire opportunity.

PPE Requirements:
• Safety toe shoes required (steel or composite).
• All other PPE provided by the company.
