Job Description
$21-$22per hour/40 hour week

University located in NYC is seeking long term temp-to-perm Cleaners/Porters/Handypeople for various cleaning assignments on campus. This role may lead to a permanent hire after positive work evaluations.

Requirements: GED or higher (that can be verified) and reference verification

Responsibilities:
- Perform general janitorial duties to maintain cleanliness and appearance of facilities
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies
- Dust and wipe down surfaces
- Clean windows and glass surfaces
- Perform industrial cleaning tasks such as buffing floors and using floor scrubbers
- Assist with setting up and tearing down for events or meetings
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment

Skills:
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Good time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects if required
