Licensed Master Plumber - Foundational Field Leader
Location: The Main Line, PA (suburb of Philadelphia)
Compensation: $35-$55/hr, DOE +Performance based bonuses

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Master Plumber to serve as the foundational field leader for a newly launched, locally owned plumbing franchise. This is a hands-on service role combined with early leadership responsibility, ideal for a senior plumber who takes pride in quality work and wants to help build something from the ground up.

You will perform residential and light commercial service work while working closely with ownership to establish technical standards, field processes, safety practices, and a strong team culture. This role offers long-term growth potential as the operation scales.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform residential and light commercial plumbing service, repairs, diagnostics, installations, and maintenance
• Serve as the lead technical authority in the field, setting standards for quality, safety, and professionalism
• Help establish field processes, workflows, and best practices for a new operation
• Mentor and support apprentices and journeymen as the team grows
• Represent the company professionally with customers, inspectors, and vendors
• Clearly explain plumbing issues, solutions, and pricing to customers
• Use mobile technology and field service software for dispatch, estimating, and job documentation
• Maintain accountability for truck organization, scheduling, job quality, and customer satisfaction

Key Skills & Qualifications
• Active Master Plumber license in Pennsylvania (or eligible via reciprocity)
• Strong knowledge of residential and light commercial plumbing codes and requirements
• Proven hands-on expertise diagnosing, repairing, and installing plumbing systems
• Experience mentoring apprentices or journeymen and setting field standards
• Excellent customer-facing communication and professionalism
• Comfortable using mobile devices and field service software (e.g., ServiceTitan or similar)
• Highly dependable, self-directed, and accountable with an ownership mindset
• Takes pride in workmanship and operates with minimal supervision

Experience Required
• 5+ years of hands-on residential and/or light commercial plumbing experience
• Strong background in service work (repairs, diagnostics, installations, and maintenance)
• Experience working independently in the field
• Prior experience training, mentoring, or leading apprentices or journeymen strongly preferred
• Customer-facing experience explaining issues, solutions, and pricing
• Familiarity with local plumbing codes and inspection processes
• Experience using digital job documentation or field service platforms
