Security Guard

Location: Chicago, IL | Onsite

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE

• $25/hr

• Site hours: 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday – Saturday

• Full-Time; flexible to work up to 12-hour shifts based on business needs; overtime as needed

• W2

• Start Date: ASAP

Role Impact: The Security Guard ensures secure, compliant, and efficient workforce entry at a large-scale, mission-critical construction project. This role protects site integrity by verifying credentials, supporting digital onboarding, and resolving access issues in real time. Success is measured by smooth gate operations, reduced delays, and strict adherence to access control and workforce compliance protocols.

Key Duties

• Monitor and enforce site access using digital badging, QR code systems, and biometric access control tools

• Verify worker credentials, certifications, and compliance status prior to entry

• Manage visitor registration, temporary badges, and vehicle pass authorization

• Train workers and subcontractors on onboarding tools and site access procedures

• Troubleshoot credentialing or system issues and escalate unresolved matters through established support channels

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in site access control, compliance coordination, workforce onboarding, or related Security Guard position

• Proficiency with digital platforms and software systems (ODIN experience preferred)

• Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced construction environment

Equipment & Work Environment

• Work performed at active construction site gates and controlled access points

• Frequent standing and walking throughout 12-hour shifts

• Use of computers, tablets, badging systems, scanners, and access control hardware

• Daily interaction with construction trades, subcontractors, and site leadership

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting large-scale construction or infrastructure projects

• Multilingual communication abilities

• Strong customer service and workforce coordination skills
