Job Description
Position Overview

We are seeking energetic, hands-on Assistant Managers to join a well-established, high-volume casual dining restaurant concept known for its strong culture, long-tenured teams, and consistent operational systems.

This is a true all-around leadership role responsible for both FOH and BOH operations, with full accountability for guest experience, team performance, and daily execution. Managers are expected to be highly visible, floor-driven leaders who thrive in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.

All hires begin in a structured Manager-in-Training (MIT) program, designed to develop full operational mastery and long-term leadership capability within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership
β€’ Oversee daily restaurant operations across FOH and BOH
β€’ Ensure smooth service execution during high-volume periods
β€’ Open and close the restaurant as a keyholder
β€’ Maintain operational consistency across assigned locations

Team Management & Development
β€’ Lead, coach, and develop teams of 60–80 employees per location
β€’ Support hiring, onboarding, and training of team members
β€’ Drive accountability, performance, and team engagement
β€’ Foster a positive, high-energy, guest-first culture

Guest Experience
β€’ Maintain a strong presence on the floor during all shifts
β€’ Ensure exceptional guest service standards are consistently delivered
β€’ Resolve guest issues quickly and professionally
β€’ Build strong guest relationships and community engagement

Financial & Operational Controls
β€’ Support labor management and cost control initiatives
β€’ Monitor food quality, speed of service, and operational efficiency
β€’ Assist in managing scheduling aligned with business needs
β€’ Help drive sales performance and operational KPIs

Standards & Compliance
β€’ Uphold brand standards across cleanliness, service, and presentation
β€’ Ensure compliance with all safety, sanitation, and labor regulations
β€’ Support consistent execution of company systems and procedures

Training Program (MIT)
β€’ 8-week Manager-in-Training program
β€’ Hands-on operational immersion across all areas of the restaurant
β€’ Approximately 80% of candidates self-select out based on role fit and expectations
β€’ Successful candidates demonstrate strong leadership, adaptability, and operational discipline

Candidate Requirements
β€’ 2+ years of restaurant management experience
β€’ FOH and BOH operational experience required
β€’ Fast-casual or casual dining experience preferred
β€’ Must be 21+ years old
β€’ Reliable transportation required
β€’ Strong leadership presence with the ability to make quick operational decisions
β€’ Comfortable in a high-volume, physically demanding environment

Schedule Expectations
β€’ 5 shifts per week (approximately 10 hours per shift)
β€’ Weekend and Monday availability required
β€’ Early start times (6–7 AM for 11 AM openings)
β€’ Two consecutive days off weekly
β€’ Weekend flexibility increases with tenure and promotion

Compensation
β€’ $60,000 – $70,000 base salary
β€’ Quarterly performance bonus
