As a Security Officer Diploma Verified Patrol in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do
• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and/or emergency response actions at a government location serving community members.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through proper channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and support security-related operations.
• Monitor visitor, staff, and vendor movement in accordance with location policies, helping to address unauthorized access, policy violations, and/or disruptive behavior.
• Assist with de-escalation support, directional assistance, and communication with site personnel and/or public agency representatives during routine operations and elevated situations.
Minimum Requirements
• A minimum of 6+ months of security-related experience is required.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
