Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Welder Supervisor! You will play a vital role in overseeing welding operations within the Department of Navy. This position will require your expertise at various work sites including Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Trident Refit Facility Bangor, and Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility.
Duties
• Lead and instruct team members on welding tasks.
• Monitor and report on the progress of work within your group.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure safety and quality standards.
• Receive and execute job assignments from the welding supervisor.
• Document and relay information about work progress effectively.
Requirements
Please note the following conditions for employment:
• You must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must meet federal employment suitability requirements.
• Participation in direct deposit pay program is mandatory.
• New employees will complete the E-Verify employment verification check.
• Registration with Selective Service is required for males born after 12-31-59.
• This position may include bargaining unit considerations.
• A pre-appointment physical examination may be required.
• You will need to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• This is a Drug Testing position. A pre-employment drug test is required.
• Personal protective equipment must be worn continuously during your shift.
• Work may expose you to potentially harmful agents.
• This position may require travel to domestic and international locations.
• Flexibility in work hours, including nights and weekends, may be necessary.
