Overview
The Tavern Group seeks an entrepreneurial spirited General Manager.

The General Manager will be responsible for the overall success of the total operations of the restaurant, focusing on engaging guests with locally inspired and sourced, fun, and honest food and beverage. We seek a beverage strong, dynamic personality to create and evolve thoughtful and fun fermented and distilled programs to pair with our food. This leader should have strong team building, communication and organizational skills required to build and maintain a lasting profitable restaurant and bar.

The GM first and foremost will foster and develop an extraordinary team culture. They will be a dynamic self-starter responsible for overseeing the opening and execution of efficient restaurant operations (from front to back), as well as maintaining high production, quality, and customer service standards with a guest first mentality.

The GM will oversee all aspects of financial management, execution of exemplary guest experience, and continuous training, development, and accountability of the team, aimed to motivate and deliver best-in-class hospitality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

β€’ Provide leadership, development, and motivation to the team to ensure guest experience is always paramount through consistent delivery of high-quality food and beverage
β€’ Partner with back of house to ensure a cohesive mission and camaraderie among all staff
β€’ Design strategies and sets goals for growth; oversees the development of short and long term financial and operational plans
β€’ Foster an excited customer base, continuously striving to find ways to strengthen the restaurant’s community and outreach – including colleagues, guests, purveyors, neighbors
β€’ Maintain profit and loss controls, inventory levels, labor and product cost monitoring
β€’ Prepare regular reports for management and lead team meetings
β€’ Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
β€’ 2+ years proven experience as restaurant management
β€’ Be an aspiring, influential, hands-on leader
β€’ Experience in planning and budgeting
β€’ Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, operations, etc.)
β€’ Strong analytical ability
β€’ Excellent written and oral communication skills
β€’ Effective conflict resolution skills
β€’ Experience with hiring, training, and maintaining ongoing operational excellence
β€’ Knowledge of sanitation procedures, as well as standard food and beverage equipment maintenance
β€’ Excellent professional presentation
β€’ Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (mobility, standing, walking, and lifting)
β€’ Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
β€’ RAMP and ServSafe Certified
β€’ College degree in hospitality preferred but not required
