As a Security Guard Foot Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support a welcoming environment through strong customer service, clear communication, and teamwork, while bringing reliability, integrity, and a people-first approach to every shift.

What You'll Do:
• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with local management and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help support authorized access, observe guest interactions, and report policy violations, maintenance issues, and/or suspicious behavior.
• Assist with closing procedures, directional support, and general public assistance while maintaining a visible presence that helps support order and professionalism at the location.
Minimum Requirements:
• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
