Summary:

A Lead Driver at Pacific Seafood is a key role on our Transportation team supporting efforts to maintain efficient operation of the distribution facility's transportation activities. This position involves managing transportation assets effectively, promoting environmental sustainability, and driving continuous improvement through collaboration and teamwork across the supply chain and is ideal for someone who is organized, analytical, and has a commitment to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
• Operational Management:
• Leading the planning and optimization of delivery routes to ensure efficient and timely distribution of goods.
• Overseeing and coordinating the activities of drivers, ensuring they adhere to schedules, safety protocols, and delivery procedures.
• Ensuring that vehicles are well-maintained, serviced regularly, and comply with safety standards to prevent breakdowns and ensure smooth operations.
• Ensuring accurate completion of delivery documentation, such as invoices, delivery receipts, and inspection reports, and providing timely reports on performance metrics.
• Assisting in inventory management by verifying quantities, checking for damaged goods, and ensuring accurate loading and unloading of products.
• Customer Service and Compliance:
• Interacting with customers professionally
• Resolving complaints and maintaining positive relationships
• Ensuring compliance with transportation regulations, including hours of service regulations, vehicle weight limits, and traffic laws, to mitigate risks and maintain regulatory compliance.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary to support the overall goals and objectives of the position.

What you bring to Pacific Seafood
Education and Experience
• Required
• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of four years’ experience in a similar supervisory role.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in fleet management and routing and safety compliance.
• Valid driver’s license.
• DOT Compliance and Audit Knowledge.
• Preferred
• Associate degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
• Forklift certification.

Total compensation: $27.50-$31.00 per hour
