β€’ Responsible for the creation, decoration, and presentation of desserts such as cakes and pastries in accordance with Violet Oon Singapore’s standards.
β€’ Decorate pastries using various icings, toppings, and techniques to ensure attractive and appealing presentation.
β€’ Monitor stock levels for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar, and other supplies, and place orders within the approved budget.
β€’ Check the quality of ingredients and ensure equipment and tools are in good working condition.
β€’ Guide, train, and motivate pastry assistants and bakers to work efficiently and maintain consistency.
β€’ Maintain a clean, organised workstation and strictly adhere to hygiene, health, and safety standards.
β€’ Assist in supervising daily kitchen operations and activities of kitchen staff within the pastry section.
β€’ Report all operational matters to the Pastry Chef.
β€’ Be physically involved in all phases of daily pastry operations.
β€’ Demonstrate new cooking techniques and the proper use of equipment to team members.
β€’ Update menu recipe cards and assist with menu planning for promotions and special events.
β€’ Ensure adequate stock levels are maintained at all times within the assigned station.
