Job Description
Job Summary The responsibility of the Welder is to perform welding operations in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and safety standards, ensuring the structural integrity and quality of metal components and assemblies. Perform welding tasks using various techniques and processes based on project requirements.

Key Responsibilities
• Cooperate with department engineers, supervisors & foreman on appropriate procedures and schedule to complete the job.
• Ensure personal safety, discipline & commitment on site.
• Desire to always maintain good housekeeping and Safety on board vessel & workshop. Ensure all workers always follow safe work procedures.
• Responsible for minimum wastage of materials and balance material to be accounted and returned to store at the end of the project.
• Ensuring optimum work processes and equipment utilization.
• Perform other related jobs as assigned by DH.
• Understand all jobs given pertaining to welding process as allocated by department engineer, supervisors, and foreman.
• To undertake other tasks as directed by department head Plan out and prepare all permits to work system related to marine safety, prepare risk analysis (RA), conduct RA briefing before starting work.
• Prepare tools, equipment, transportation, materials and manpower, control man hours for all given jobs.
• Perform welding works at all locations as required by department welding supervisor and foreman.

Key Requirements
• 5 years and above of extensive experience in shipbuilding and ship repair, specializing in welding related work.
• Conducting quality checks and ensuring compliance with standards.
• Interpreting technical drawings and hull standards.
