As per the Ministry of Manpower, the starting monthly salary for entry-level plumbers in Singapore is SGD 2,800 as of 1 January 2026 under the Progressive Wage Model for the built environment sector. This includes a base of SGD 2,200 plus SGD 600 in productivity and training allowances. Overtime must be paid at 1.5 times the hourly rate after 44 hours per week.

As per the Ministry of Manpower, foreign work permit holders in plumber roles must receive a minimum monthly salary of SGD 2,500 as of 2026 to qualify for the work permit in the construction sector. Employers must also pay a monthly levy of SGD 650 for basic skilled workers. The salary must be paid via GIRO to a Singapore bank account.

As per the Ministry of Manpower, applicants for plumber jobs must hold at least an NTC-2 certificate in Plumbing Technology or equivalent and have 2 years of relevant experience as of 2026. Foreign applicants require a valid work permit and must pass the CoreTrade or Multi-skilling certification. No applicants without these credentials will be approved for levy-paying positions.

As per the Ministry of Manpower, applicants must submit a valid passport, educational certificates including NTC-2, employment contract, and medical report via the EP Online system by 31 March 2026. A security bond of SGD 5,000 is also required for workers from non-traditional source countries. Incomplete applications are rejected within 5 working days.
