Job Description
What you will be doing:
• To ensure proper operation of the plumbing equipment and thus an efficient water supply throughout the hotel.
• To ensure proper and efficient functioning of sewer pumps at the times and carry out preventive maintenance of the same.
• Responsible for all plumbing and drainage in all the areas of the property i.e. outdoor drainage, irrigation network, etc
• Maintain and keep all automatic flushing valves operational
• Maintain and clean all fat traps within the kitchen areas
• Ensure regular maintenance and chemicals are used for cleaning existing soil and stack pipes
• Ensure all roof level ventilation vent pipes and roof rainwater outlets are kept clear at all times
• Review building plans and specifications to determine the layout for plumbing and related materials
• Install, repair and maintain underground storm sanitary, water piping systems, sinks, tubs, toilets, water heaters and conditioners. Carries out all other tasks assigned to him by his supervisor.
• Locate and mark positions for connections and fixtures
• Install supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures and equipment
• Works closely with supervisor / team leader and peers to carry out preventive maintenance and annual maintenance program.
• Follows all safety rules and regulations in job, departmental procedures and instructions.
• Identify required tools and special equipment and select the type and size of pipe required
• Reports to the Team Leader/ foreman regarding daily work progress and trouble report completion
