Position Title: Welder
Location: Qatar

Reporting to: Welding Supervisor / Foreman / Production Manager

Job Purpose
The Welder is responsible for performing high-quality welding work on metal components structures and piping systems. The role requires precise welding skills adherence to safety standards and the ability to interpret technical drawings and welding procedures.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform welding using MIG TIG SMAW (Arc) FCAW or other methods as required.
• Read and interpret welding symbols technical drawings and WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications).
• Prepare materials and surfaces by cleaning grinding cutting and positioning.
• Weld and assemble metal structures frames supports tanks piping systems or equipment components.
• Conduct tack welding root pass hot pass fill and cap depending on project requirements.
• Inspect welds for quality ensuring compliance with company standards and project specifications.
• Use and maintain welding tools and equipment (torches grinders clamps electrodes etc.).
• Follow safety rules including proper use of PPE and adherence to workshop and site safety procedures.
• Collaborate closely with fabricators fitters and supervisors for timely workflow.
• Perform repair welding cutting and modification of existing metal components.
• Report material shortages equipment issues or safety concerns to supervisors.

Skills & Competencies
• Proficient in multiple welding processes (MIG/TIG/ARC/FCAW).
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and WPS.
• Good understanding of metals such as mild steel stainless steel aluminum etc.
• Strong attention to detail and welding quality.
• Knowledge of safety practices in welding environments.
• Ability to work efficiently in workshop and site conditions.

Qualifications & Experience
• Technical certificate or diploma in Welding / Fabrication.
• 25 years of welding experience (Gulf experience preferred).
• Certification in 3G 4G 6G or specific welding positions is a strong advantage.
• Experience in structural industrial or oil & gas welding projects is preferred.

Physical Requirements
• Ability to work in high temperatures and workshop/site environments.
• Can lift and handle heavy materials and equipment.
• Comfortable working in confined spaces or elevated areas (if required).
