As per the Ministry of Labour, the minimum wage for cleaning staff in Qatar is 1,000 QAR per month as of 2026 plus food and accommodation allowances of 300 QAR and 500 QAR respectively. Employers must pay overtime at 1.25 times the hourly rate for work beyond 8 hours per day.

As per the Ministry of Labour, cleaning staff require a valid work visa sponsored by a Qatari employer with a valid commercial registration, issued after medical fitness test and signing of the employment contract. The visa must be stamped within 90 days of arrival and renewed annually.

As per the Ministry of Labour, applicants for cleaning staff positions need a minimum age of 18 years, basic literacy, and no specific education qualification but must pass a medical examination including TB and HIV tests. Prior experience of at least 6 months in cleaning is preferred but not mandatory.

As per the Ministry of Labour, required documents include a valid passport, 4 passport-size photos, attested educational certificates if any, medical certificate from approved centers, and a no-objection certificate from previous employer if changing jobs. Applications are submitted online via the Ministry portal before 31 December 2026.
