Job Description:

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Carton Packaging Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating folding carton jobs, coupled with knowledge of printing processes and packaging material specifications. This role requires strong analytical skills, accuracy in cost projections, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel to prepare and manage estimates effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for folding carton packaging projects
• Analyze packaging specifications, customer drawings, and production capabilities
• Collaborate with sales, production, and design teams to determine job scope and manufacturing requirements
• Utilize historical cost data and supplier pricing to prepare quotes
• Maintain and update pricing databases and Excel-based estimate sheets
• Support customer inquiries with technical and cost-related input
• Monitor job costing performance to refine future estimations
• Recommend cost-saving alternatives in materials or production processes when applicable
Qualifications:

Required:
• Proven experience in estimating folding carton packaging projects
• Working knowledge of printing processes (offset printing, color matching, etc.)
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools)
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong mathematical and analytical abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred:
• Prior experience with packaging or print production software (e.g., ERP/MIS systems)
• Familiarity with structural design tools (e.g., ArtiosCAD) is a plus
• Background in packaging engineering or graphic production is advantageous
