Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY

The Food Pantry/Assembly Staff is responsible for the accurate preparation, portioning, and assembly of ingredients and meals in the pantry and assembly area of a commissary facility. This role involves following established recipes, portion standards, and food safety guidelines to support efficient and consistent production. The Food Pantry/Assembly Staff works closely with team members to ensure timely and quality output that meets the commissary's production goals.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare and portion ingredients according to recipe specifications and portion control guidelines, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Follow instructions from the Pantry/Assembly Supervisor to prepare batches of food items as required for daily production needs.
• Assemble and package food products as per recipes and production guidelines, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and presentation standards.
• Support in the preparation and packing of ingredients and finished items for delivery, following proper packing and labeling procedures.
• Handle food items carefully to prevent breakage or contamination and ensure that each product maintains its intended quality.
• Inspect ingredients and assembled items for quality, consistency, and freshness, reporting any issues to the Pantry/Assembly Supervisor.
• Follow company protocols for safe food handling and storage, helping to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Operate basic kitchen and assembly equipment, such as scales, portioning tools, and packing machines, following safe handling procedures.
• Perform basic cleaning and maintenance of equipment as directed, ensuring tools are cleaned and stored properly after each use.

QUALIFICATION
• Previous experience in food preparation, pantry, or assembly work is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.
• High school diploma or equivalent; basic knowledge of food handling is an advantage.
• Precision in measuring and assembling food items according to quality and portion standards.
• Comfort using kitchen tools and equipment, including safe handling practices for assembly tasks.
• Ability to work cooperatively with team members, communicating effectively to support production efficiency.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, manage tasks effectively, and complete assignments on time.
• Knowledge of and commitment to following food safety and sanitation protocols consistently.
