Job Objective

This position exists for the purpose of ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the Security & Safety department. This role is responsible for overseeing and implementing security and safety protocols, conducting regular risk assessments, managing patrols, and providing detailed reports on security and safety performance.

Essential Job Tasks

Manages daily security and safety operations, ensuring all protocols are followed across the property. Supervises security staff, oversees surveillance, and coordinates emergency response actions. Implements fire and life safety programs, audits compliance with security standards, and prepares detailed incident reports. Leads training and awareness initiatives for staff to promote a proactive safety culture.

Areas of Responsibility

1. Supervision of Security & Safety Teams.
• Daily Operations. Oversee the daily activities of security personnel and safety stewards, ensuring adherence to security protocols and safety regulations. Provide guidance to the team and ensure they are properly positioned to manage key areas across the property.
• Operational Readiness. Ensure that all personnel are equipped with the necessary safety equipment and briefed on daily operational tasks. Supervise routine checks and preparedness measures across the property.
• Performance Monitoring. Conduct performance reviews of the team, ensuring that safety and security standards are maintained. Provide feedback and suggestions for improvements.

2. Patrolling, Safety Checks & Incident Response.
• Security Patrolling. Oversee and manage regular patrols of the premises. Ensure that any potential security breaches are identified and addressed in a timely manner.
• Safety Inspections. Conduct thorough safety checks across all areas of the property, identifying and correcting any safety violations or hazards.
• Incident Response & Reporting. Respond to all security and safety incidents, coordinating with the security team and external authorities when necessary. Provide accurate and detailed incident reports.

3. Access Control & Surveillance.
• Surveillance Monitoring. Oversee CCTV systems, ensuring that all areas of the property are monitored effectively. Escalate any suspicious behaviour or activities for further investigation.
• Access Control. Manage access control measures across restricted areas, ensuring that both personnel and visitors comply with access protocols.

4. Fire, Life Safety & Emergency Preparedness.
• Fire & Life Safety. Supervise and conduct fire drills in accordance with company protocols. Ensure firefighting equipment is operational and compliant with safety regulations.
• Emergency Procedures. Train staff on emergency response procedures, ensuring that they are prepared to handle fire and medical emergencies effectively.

5. Incident Reporting, Safety Audits & Documentation.
• Incident Reporting. Record and submit detailed reports on all security and safety incidents. Ensure that reports are accurate and submitted in a timely manner to senior management for review.
• Safety Audits. Assist in conducting regular safety audits, identifying any areas of non-compliance or improvement.

6. Promoting Security & Safety Awareness.
• Training and Briefing. Provide ongoing training to the security and safety team, ensuring that they are knowledgeable about all protocols and procedures.
• Safety Culture. Foster a culture of safety throughout the property by leading by example and ensuring all personnel adhere to safety and security regulations.

Required Qualifications
• Degree in any discipline, with certifications in fire safety, first aid, or occupational safety preferred
• Security & safety certifications are advantageous

Work Experience
• 7 to 10 years of experience in security or safety roles, with supervisory experience

Languages Needed in Position
• Fluency in English, Hindi, and local dialects
