Job Description

Perform welding tasks using various techniques such as MIG, TIG, Stick (SMAW), Arc, and Gas Welding.

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to determine job requirements.

Set up and calibrate welding equipment, including selecting appropriate welding rods, wires, or shielding gases.

Weld different materials like steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and other alloys based on project needs.

Ensure proper alignment, positioning, and fusion of metal parts to achieve strong and durable welds.Inspect welded joints using measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, and weld gauges.

Identify and fix welding defects such as cracks, porosity, undercuts, and weak welds.

Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) if required, such as ultrasonic or X-ray testing.

Maintain strict adherence to welding codes, industry standards (e.g., AWS, ASME, ISO), and client specifications.Perform routine maintenance on welding machines, torches, gas tanks, and safety gear.

Ensure welding tools and equipment are in valuable working condition to prevent malfunctions.

Report any defective tools, machines, or safety hazards to supervisors for repairs or replacements.
