Job Description
Key Responsibilities
• Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of jewellery manufacturing machines and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults.
• Ensure maximum machine uptime and minimize production downtime.
• Install, inspect, and commission new machinery and equipment.
• Perform routine inspections and lubrication of production machines.
• Maintain utility equipment such as air compressors, DG sets, HVAC systems, and water pumps.
• Troubleshoot CNC, Wire Cut, Laser Welding, Casting, Polishing, and other jewellery manufacturing machines.
• Maintain electrical panels, motors, sensors, drives, and control systems.
• Coordinate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption.
• Maintain records of preventive maintenance, breakdowns, repairs, and spare parts consumption.
• Monitor machine performance and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reliability.
• Ensure the availability of critical spare parts and maintenance tools.
• Follow all electrical and mechanical safety standards, EHS guidelines, and 5S practices.
• Coordinate with external service providers for specialized maintenance and annual maintenance contracts (AMCs).
• Support continuous improvement initiatives such as TPM, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing.
• Respond promptly to emergency machine breakdowns and ensure timely restoration of production.

Required Skills
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance.
• Troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
• Knowledge of PLCs, motors, sensors, electrical panels, and industrial machinery.
• Understanding of preventive maintenance and TPM concepts.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings

Qualification
• ITI/Diploma/B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.

Experience
• 3–8 years of maintenance experience in a jewellery manufacturing or precision manufacturing environment.
