Job Purpose: To ensure the safety and security of designated individuals, premises, and assets by conducting on-ground protection duties. The role involves implementing security strategies, executing operational plans, and responding effectively to emergencies and incidents.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Executive Protection Officer

Strategic Roles and Responsibilities:

Operational Execution: Implement protection strategies and protocols as defined by the Executive Protection Lead.

Vigilance and Observation: Maintain constant vigilance to identify and respond to potential threats or vulnerabilities.

Compliance with Directives: Execute duties in strict adherence to organizational security policies and procedures.

Security Operations:

Patrolling and Monitoring: Conduct regular patrols of the assigned site or residence, ensuring all entry and exit points are secure.

Access Control: Monitor and control access to the premises, ensuring only authorized individuals are allowed entry.

Surveillance Monitoring: Operate and monitor surveillance systems (e.g., CCTV) to maintain situational awareness and identify anomalies.

Daily Reporting: Document and report routine activities, incidents, or irregularities to the Executive Protection Lead

Security Strategy & Implementation:

Carry out predetermined security protocols, including escorting individuals, monitoring movements, and ensuring safe transportation.

Be ready to execute predefined emergency evacuation or safety protocols at a moment's notice.

Provide inputs to the Executive Protection Lead on potential areas of improvement in security operations or processes.

Crisis & Incident Management:

Respond promptly and decisively to any security breaches, threats, or incidents, minimizing risks to individuals and assets.

Work closely with the Executive Protection Team, local law enforcement, or emergency services during crises.

Prepare detailed reports postincident, outlining actions taken, outcomes, and recommendations for improvement.

Responsibilities
• Key Responsibilities of Role

Roles and Responsibilities
• Implementation of effective and efficient Executive Protection at residence, offices and all domestic locations.
• Provide inputs for the design of the operating model and the SOPs, to ensure operations processes are incorporated appropriately
• Provide effective cover to Promoters during events and functions, both private and public

Security Operations
• Provide security cover with efficient use of existing security technologies and ensure the implementation of security protocols
• Perform scanning and verification of visitors at all locations based on provided information.
• Ensure safe and timely evacuation of Promoters from a high-risk zone and situations.
• Perform protection and anti-sabotage scan of assets relevant to the security of promotors
• Conduct route recce, travel security drills and crowd management.
• Work effectively within the defined Executive Protection policy to address risks.

Security Strategy & Implementation
• Ensure round the clock security coverage to the subjects by trained security professionals.
• Ensure the inclusion of review of security protocols, route reconnaissance, route auditing and safe evacuation of asset in Travel Security arrangements.
• Strengthen internal processes and use of technology by adopting latest security gadgets for tracking and communication, interpretation and protection including weapons

Crisis & Incident Management
• Implement the response plan during the crises/ emergencies/ incidents in a timely and adequate manner
• Undergo contingency and crisis management procedure drills and exercises

Qualifications
• Matric or equivalent
• Completed Commando Courses from NSG/SPG

Experiences:
• Experience as Protective Service Officer (PSO) or other equivalent position
• Part of protection group for leading VVIPs, Ministers or international dignitaries.
• Possess Knowledge of Law of the Land -Criminal and others including personal defense and relevant IPC sections
