Position Overview

The Packing Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring packaging machines to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality packing of namkeen products. The role ensures proper sealing, weight accuracy, hygiene compliance, and minimal wastage during the packaging process.

Key Responsibilities

Machine Operation
• Operate pouch packing machines (FFS machines, sealing machines, nitrogen flushing machines, etc.)
• Ensure correct product weight as per SKU (e.g., 20g, 50g, 200g, 1kg packs)
• Monitor sealing quality and batch coding
• Adjust machine settings for different SKUs

Production & Efficiency
• Achieve daily packing targets as per production plan
• Minimize material wastage (film, laminate, product loss)
• Reduce machine downtime by timely reporting issues
• Coordinate with maintenance team for machine breakdowns

Quality & Hygiene
• Follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
• Maintain hygiene in packing area
• Ensure proper use of gloves, caps, and uniforms
• Check packaging material quality before use

Documentation
• Maintain production & packing records
• Record machine output and rejection data
• Report defects, leakage, or weight variation

Quality Checks
• Check pouch sealing strength
• Ensure proper printing (MRP, Batch No., PKD, FSSAI details)
• Verify carton packing and dispatch labeling
