Job Description – Security Officer (Ex-Army)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly disciplined and experienced Security Officer (Ex-Army) to oversee the security operations of our construction projects. The ideal candidate should have served in the Indian Armed Forces and possess proven experience in construction site security, industrial security, surveillance, risk management, and safety compliance. The role requires strong leadership, crisis management skills, and the ability to ensure the safety of manpower, materials, machinery, and company assets.

Key Responsibilities

Security Operations
• Plan, implement, and monitor security arrangements across construction sites.
• Supervise security guards and ensure effective deployment at all entry/exit points.
• Conduct regular security patrols and inspections to identify vulnerabilities.
• Prevent theft, pilferage, vandalism, trespassing, and unauthorized access.
• Manage access control for employees, contractors, visitors, and vehicles.
• Ensure proper gate management and verification of material movement.

Surveillance & Risk Management
• Monitor CCTV surveillance systems and access control equipment.
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend preventive security measures.
• Investigate security incidents, prepare reports, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and enforce security policies, SOPs, and emergency response procedures.
• Maintain high standards of physical and operational security.

Safety & Emergency Response
• Coordinate with the Safety Department to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Respond effectively to emergencies including fire, accidents, medical emergencies, and security threats.
• Lead incident response and crisis management activities.
• Coordinate with local police, fire authorities, and emergency services whenever required.

Team Management
• Lead, train, and motivate the security team.
• Conduct security briefings, drills, and awareness programs.
• Monitor attendance, discipline, and performance of security personnel.
• Ensure proper maintenance of security records, registers, and daily reports.

Asset Protection
• Safeguard company assets, machinery, equipment, and construction materials.
• Ensure secure storage areas and monitor movement of high-value materials.
• Protect VIPs, senior management, and visitors whenever required.

Compliance & Administration
• Ensure compliance with company security policies and statutory regulations.
• Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly security reports.
• Coordinate with project management regarding security-related matters.
• Support administrative activities related to site security.

Required Qualifications
• Graduate in any discipline (Preferred).
• Must be an Ex-Serviceman (Indian Army preferred).
• Diploma or Certification in Security Management, Industrial Security, Fire & Safety, or related field will be an added advantage.

Experience
• Minimum 5-9 years of service in the Indian Armed Forces.
• Minimum 3+ years of post-retirement experience in Security Management.
• Experience in Construction, Infrastructure, Industrial, Cement Plants is preferred.
• Experience in managing construction site security is mandatory.
