Job Description
Job Title: Automatic Welder Operator
Department: Production / Fabrication
Location: (Add your plant location)
Reports To: Production / Welding Supervisor

Job Purpose:
To operate and monitor automatic welding machines to join metal components accurately and efficiently, ensuring weld quality, productivity, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
β€’ Set up and operate automatic welding machines (MIG/TIG/Spot/Seam welding as applicable).
β€’ Load components into fixtures and ensure proper alignment before welding.
β€’ Select and adjust welding parameters like voltage, current, and speed as per job requirement.
β€’ Monitor welding process to maintain quality and consistency.
β€’ Inspect finished welds for defects such as cracks, porosity, and misalignment.
β€’ Perform basic troubleshooting and minor maintenance of welding machines.
β€’ Maintain production records and welding reports.
β€’ Follow safety procedures and use proper PPE at all times.
β€’ Maintain housekeeping in the work area.

Qualification:
β€’ ITI in Welder / Fabrication or relevant trade preferred.
β€’ 1–3 years of experience in automatic welding operations preferred.

Required Skills:
β€’ Basic knowledge of welding techniques and safety standards.
β€’ Ability to read simple drawings and welding symbols.
β€’ Good attention to detail and quality focus.
β€’ Ability to work in shift operations if required.
