Job Description
– Welder Job Title: Welder Department: Production / Manufacturing/Transformer Location: Plant / Factory Reports To: Production Supervisor Job SummaryThe Welder is responsible for welding transformer tanks, radiators, conservators, base frames, and other fabricated components as per engineering drawings and quality standards. The role requires ensuring solid, leak-proof welds while maintaining safety and productivity. Key ResponsibilitiesPerform Arc, MIG, TIG, and CO₂ welding as per production requirements.

Fabricate and weld transformer tanks, radiators, covers, and structural components. Read and interpret fabrication drawings and welding symbols. Ensure welding quality, dimensional accuracy, and leak-proof joints.

Conduct visual inspection of welds and rectify defects when required. Operate welding machines, grinders, gas cutting equipment, and hand tools. Follow welding procedures, quality standards, and safety guidelines.

Maintain welding equipment and ensure proper housekeeping (5S). QualificationsITI in Welder Trade (NCVT/SCVT) preferred.

Certification in welding will be an added advantage. Experience2–5 years in transformer, heavy fabrication, pressure vessel, or sheet metal manufacturing.
