Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our manufacturing team specializing in gas instruments and pressure control systems. The Welder will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and welding precision components used in gas regulators, meters, valves, and related instrumentation. The ideal candidate has experience working with stainless steel and high-pressure components, ensuring leak-proof and high-quality welds that meet industry safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform TIG, MIG, and orbital welding on stainless steel, carbon steel, and other alloys used in gas instrumentation.
• Weld small-diameter tubing, pressure vessels, gas lines, and instrument enclosures.
• Interpret and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
• Ensure all welds meet quality standards for high-pressure and leak-proof applications.
• Conduct visual inspections and assist with non-destructive testing (NDT) procedures.
• Maintain proper documentation of welding activities and quality checks.
• Operate fabrication equipment such as grinders, cutting torches, and tube benders.
• Follow safety standards related to gas systems and high-pressure equipment.
• Collaborate with quality control and engineering teams to meet production deadlines.
• Maintain welding equipment and ensure a clean and safe work environment.

Required Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical welding certification preferred.
• 2+ years of TIG welding experience (preferably in gas, oil & gas, or instrumentation manufacturing).
• Experience welding stainless steel tubing and thin-wall materials.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding specifications.
• Familiarity with pressure vessel codes (e.g., ASME standards) is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

Preferred Skills
• Experience with orbital welding for precision gas systems.
• Knowledge of leak testing methods (helium leak testing preferred).
• Understanding of cleanroom or contamination-controlled environments.
• Basic knowledge of ISO quality systems.

Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Lift up to 25–50 lbs as required.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing/shop environment.

Work Environment
• Manufacturing facility setting.
• Exposure to welding fumes, noise, and industrial equipment (PPE required).
• May require overtime to meet production schedules.
