Our client is seeking an experienced and reliable Long-Haul Truck Driver to join their expanding logistics team in Ahmedabad, Gujarat . This role involves transporting goods across various states, adhering to strict delivery schedules and ensuring the safety and security of the cargo at all times. The ideal candidate must have a clean driving record, a valid commercial driver's license (CDL), and extensive experience in operating heavy-duty trucks. You will be responsible for pre-trip and post-trip inspections, vehicle maintenance, route planning, and maintaining accurate logs and documentation. Excellent navigational skills and the ability to work independently for extended periods are crucial. We are looking for a professional who prioritizes safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include:
Safely operating a commercial truck for long-distance hauls. Loading and unloading freight as required. Conducting thorough vehicle inspections before and after each trip. Performing minor roadside repairs and maintenance. Adhering to all traffic laws and transportation regulations. Maintaining accurate electronic logs of driving hours and mileage. Planning and optimizing delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals. Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers. Ensuring the cargo is secured and protected throughout the journey.
