Job Description
Key ResponsibilitiesInstall fire alarm control panels, smoke detectors, heat detectors, manual call points (MCPs), hooters, response indicators, and modules. Perform cable laying, conduit/trunking work, termination, labeling, and wiring as per approved drawings. Test and commission fire alarm systems to ensure proper operation. Diagnose and rectify faults in conventional and addressable fire alarm systems. Carry out preventive maintenance and Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) services. Inspect detectors, MCPs, hooters, batteries, power supplies, and control panels. Replace faulty devices, damaged cables, and defective components. Configure and program fire alarm control panels when required. Conduct functional testing, loop testing, cause-and-effect testing, and system verification. Prepare service reports, maintenance checklists, and testing reports. Coordinate with clients, site engineers, and project managers during installation and maintenance. Follow all safety procedures while working at customer sites. Maintain tools, testing equipment, and spare parts properly. Attend emergency breakdown calls and resolve issues promptly.
