Compensation range:

The Maintenance Worker - Carpenter works under the direction of the Project Coordinator. The Maintenance Worker is responsible for most carpentry related projects and work requisitions assigned to him by the Project Coordinator. The special nature of this position may require working all shifts, any day of the week and holidays. The Maintenance Worker Carpenter supports and contributes to the service excellence mission of Enloe Medical Center and the Engineering Department.

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:
Three years experience in general carpentry work or a related building trade

Desired:
Two years experience in hospital facility maintenance

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
Minimum:
Current California Driver’s License

Eligible to be insured under the Medical Center’s Liability Policy with DMV Report (and minimum age

21)

Desired:
Certification in building trades or hospital maintenance experience

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
The position requires working knowledge of carpentry, building maintenance techniques, and basic electrical. Must have the ability to operate all tools used in carpentry and cabinetry trade. Knowledge of door latches, locks, and closures. Should be able to construct cabinetry and other related carpenter duties. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
