Job Description
Welder 1 In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Assembly, refurbish, and test transmitters by following work instructions, engineering standards, and operating procedures. Set up and operate production and refurbishment equipment, including calibration, testing, packaging Select, issue, and store components and tools accurately in line with inventory and quality procedures. Complete required quality documentation and follow quality assurance processes to ensure products meet Emerson standards. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment through regular housekeeping and equipment care. Support production schedules by working efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and safety. Participate in safety, quality, and continuous improvement activities, including hazard reporting and non‑conformance processes. Collaborate with team members and other departments to achieve shared production and operational goals. Contribute ideas that support operational efficiency, cost awareness, and continuous improvement. For This Role, You Will Need: Experience in manufacturing, assembly, or a related production environment, or transferable skills gained through hands‑on technical work. Ability to read and follow work instructions, drawings, and procedures with strong attention to detail. Commitment to safe work practices, including the correct use of personal protective equipment and adherence to health, safety, and environmental requirements. Basic numeracy and literacy skills to complete documentation and follow production processes. Physical capability to perform manual tasks, stand for extended periods, and safely handle components and tools. A team‑focused mindset with clear communication skills and a willingness to learn. Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart: Experience assembling or refurbishing transmitters, controls, or similar mechanical products. Familiarity with quality assurance systems and continuous improvement practices. Basic Computer skills Preferred experience in Instrumentation background Technical, or process manufacturing certification, or equivalent practical experience.
