Job Title: Office Peon / Office Attendant

Department: Administration

Reports To: Admin Officer / Office Supritandant
• Job Summary:

The Office Peon is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, assisting with daily administrative tasks, running errands, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day physical operations of the office.
• Key Responsibilities & Duties =

1. Office Maintenance:

Keep the office premises, cabins, and meeting rooms clean, tidy, and organize throughout the day.

2. Hospitality:

Serve water, tea, coffee, and refreshments to staff, management, and visiting guests/clients.

3. Errands & Deliveries:

Run outdoor errands such as depositing checks at the bank, purchasing office supplies, or picking up lunch/items for management.

4. Document Handling:

Move files, documents, and stationery between different departments. Hand-deliver urgent letters or packages to external locations if required.

5. Equipment Assistance:

Assist in operating basic office machinery like photocopying machines, scanners, and paper shredders.

6. Opening & Closing:

Arrive early to open the office, turn on lights/ACs, and ensure everything is locked and turned off at the end of the day.

1. Education & Experience -

Minimum Education:

10th Standard (SSC) pass or 12th Standard (HSC) pass.

Experience:

0 to 2 years of experience working as an office boy, peon, or helper in a corporate environment. (Freshers are usually welcome).

2. Core Skills -

Language Skills:

Ability to understand and speak the local language (e.g., Marathi/Hindi) and basic understanding of English is a big plus.

Navigation:

Good knowledge of local routes, public transport, and nearby markets for running errands.

Basic Technical Skills:

Ability to operate a smartphone for maps/communication and basic knowledge of office appliances (coffee machine, Xerox machine).

3. Personal Attributes & Soft Skills -

Punctuality:

Must be highly disciplined regarding reporting times.

Honesty & Reliability:

High integrity, as the role involves handling office property and occasionally cash/checks.

Politeness:

Courteous behavior and a helpful attitude toward employees and external guests.
