Job Description
Maersk Fleet and Procurement India Private Limited, is looking for competent Welder with relevant seagoing experience, willing to be trained, challenged and expand their knowledge onboard our technically advanced container vessels with the best and latest machinery.

Key responsibilities
β€’ Carry out steel works including hot works (arc/gas welding, gas cutting,

brazing), use of power tools on both the deck and engine room. Supervision

and management will be under the Chief Engineer (Engine Room) and Chief

Officer (Deck).
β€’ Assist Fitter in inventory/stock check for consumables related to steel work

and various workshops on board, and to ensure that the minimum

requirements is always adhered to.
β€’ Assist Fitter in maintenance of workshop equipment and tools.
β€’ Assist with various security-related duties, as required, under the supervision

of the SSO.
β€’ Ensure chemicals are used safely and as per Safety Data Sheet instructions
β€’ Ensure work and rest hour planning is done regularly and requirements are

complied with. Bring any challenges in rest hour compliance to the attention

of the Second Engineer and/or Chief Officer.
β€’ At all times, ensure good housekeeping, cleanliness and tidiness of workspace

and other designated areas as directed by the Vessel Management
