As per the Ministry of Labour & Employment, the minimum wage for heavy vehicle drivers in Delhi is ₹18,500 per month as of 1 April 2026. Overtime is paid at double the rate after 8 hours daily. Employers must also provide weekly rest of 24 consecutive hours.

A minimum of 2 years driving experience on the relevant vehicle category is mandatory. Medical fitness certificate from a registered practitioner is also required.
