Job Details:

● Position: Electrician Technician

● Location: Pune, Maharashtra

● Experience Required: Minimum 2 Years

● Work Mode: 30% office + 70% on site

● Engagement Model: Probationary Basis (Minimum 3 Months). Permanent confirmation is subject to performance review after the probation period.

Electrician Technician

Carry out electrical installation, wiring, termination, and maintenance works on site for water supply, water treatment, and wastewater infrastructure projects.

● Key Requirements:

Hands-on experience in electrical wiring, cable laying, and termination for industrial or infrastructure projects.

Working knowledge of control panels, motor starters, VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), switchgear, contactors, and relays.

Ability to read and follow basic electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and single line diagrams (SLD) for site execution.

Familiarity with substation operations — LT panels, bus bars, incoming/outgoing feeders, and associated equipment.

Knowledge of earthing systems — installation of earth pits, earth strips, and body earthing for panels and equipment.

Ability to work with electrical meters — multimeter, clamp meter — for measurements, continuity checks, and basic troubleshooting.

Understanding of fuses, MCBs, MCCBs, and overload protection devices — selection, installation, and replacement.

Basic knowledge of motor wiring — DOL starters, star-delta starters, and VFD connections for pumps and blowers.

● Job Description:

Work on site to carry out electrical installation, cabling, panel wiring, and termination activities for water and wastewater projects. Follow instructions from the site supervisor and ensure all electrical works are completed safely, correctly, and on time.

● Responsibilities:

Carry out cable laying — overhead, underground, and through conduits/trays — as per site drawings and instructions.

Perform cable termination and glanding at panels, junction boxes, motors, and field instruments.

Assist in installation, wiring, and pre-commissioning checks of control panels, MCC panels, and power distribution panels.

Install and connect motor starters (DOL, star-delta), VFDs, contactors, and relays as per wiring diagrams.

Support installation and connection of switchgear components — ACBs, MCCBs, MCBs, isolators, and bus bars.

Carry out earthing works — installation of earth electrodes, earth strips, and equipotential bonding for panels and equipment.

Perform basic electrical checks using multimeters and clamp meters — voltage, current, continuity, and insulation resistance (IR) testing.

Install and replace fuses, indicating lamps, push buttons, and other panel accessories.

Support substation works — cable connections, feeder terminations, and minor wiring tasks under supervision of the engineer.

Assist during pre-commissioning and commissioning activities — motor trial runs, direction checks, and loop checking.

Follow all site safety rules, work under proper permits, and use appropriate PPE at all times.

Report daily work progress and any electrical issues or punch points to the site supervisor promptly.

● Academics and Experience:

ITI (Electrician Trade) — mandatory.

Wireman License issued by the competent authority — preferred.

Minimum 2 years of site experience in electrical installation and wiring works.

Advantage - experience in Water Treatment Plants (WTP), Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP), Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP), pumping stations, or similar water/wastewater infrastructure projects.

Must be physically fit for outdoor and indoor site work.

Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

● Preferred:

Valid driving license for 4-wheelers (Light Motor Vehicle) — preferred for independent site travel and mobility.
