Job Description
We are looking for a precision-focused Fabricator/Mechanic specializing in the construction and assembly of fire truck doors (swing-out, lift-up, and locker doors). You will be responsible for the complete lifecycle of the door system—from cutting and welding the frame to installing the final locking mechanisms and weather seals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Structural Fabrication
• Fabricate door frames and panels using Aluminum, MS and Stainless Steel, ensuring weight-to-strength ratios are optimized.
• Perform high-finish MIG/TIG/ARC welding, ensuring seams are smooth for painting and free of warping.
• Work with sheet metal bending and shearing machines to create precise compartment profiles.

2. Mechanical Assembly & Fitment
• Install and calibrate heavy-duty hinges, gas struts, and pneumatic opening systems.
• Integrate multi-point locking systems, slam-latches, and electronic central locking components.
• Expertly apply weather-stripping and automotive seals to ensure all compartments are 100% dust and waterproof.

3. Integration & Finishing
• Ensure perfect door alignment within the bodywork, maintaining uniform gaps and smooth operation.
• Install interior door components, including LED compartment lighting and tool-mounting brackets.
• Collaborate with the body-building team to ensure seamless integration with the main truck chassis.

Required Skills & Qualifications
• Experience: 1+ years in specialized automotive body-building (Fire trucks, ambulances, or defense vehicles).
• Metalworking Skills: * Expert-level aluminum fabrication and welding.
• Ability to read complex 2D/3D technical drawings for door clearances.
• Mechanical Aptitude: Deep understanding of hardware like gas stays, paddle handles, and telescopic slides.
• Precision: Must be able to work with tight tolerances (within 1-2mm) to ensure high-speed vehicle stability and seal integrity.

The Ideal Candidate
• You have a "finishing touch" mindset—you understand that the doors are the most interacted-with part of the truck.
• You are familiar with roller shutter doors as well as traditional leaf doors.
• You take pride in creating structures that are both rugged and aesthetically clean.

Application Details
• Location: Jonapur, New Delhi.
• Salary: Commensurate with experience and technical skill level

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
